Bring your lunch and enjoy this stimulating series of lectures on subjects of interest in our community. This month, we welcome Jeri Anderson, field representative for the national non-profit organization PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society), that places service dogs with individuals who need assistance. Jeri will be discussing how service dogs assist people, how the organization handle applicants (the process of obtaining an assistance dog) and the process of raising puppies in foster homes until they are ready for training. Ms. Anderson will be bringing a top service dog, Dayton, with her to demonstrate some service dog skills. Complimentary refreshments and drinks will be offered, but you are encouraged to bring and enjoy your lunch.
