Hawkins House

This house was built in 1891 as a replica of the house to its left in a typical Victorian style. The new owner of this lot was so taken with the design of the Ball House, that he asked permission to copy its architecture, except for the front porch. Permission was granted, and this proved to be another example of Southern hospitality at its best! The front door and tread on the home came from Thomasville’s old hospital, now demolished. Most of the homes on this tour are private residences and are not open to the public, but feel free to admire the outside structure.
