The Strawbridge House is a Colonial Revival built in 1899 as the winter residence of Justus C. Strawbridge, co-founder of Strawbridge and Clothier of Philadelphia. A generous contributor to the city, he had the band shell erected in Paradise Park as a gift. He also began the movement in Thomasville to plant shade trees.
