Strawbridge House

This Colonial Revival house was built in 1899 as the winter residence of Justus C. Strawbridge, co-founder of Strawbridge and Clothier of Philadelphia. A generous contributor to the city, he had the band shell erected in Paradise Park as a gift. He also began the movement in Thomasville to plant shade trees. Most of the homes on this tour are private residences and are not open to the public, but feel free to admire the outside structure.
