President Dwight D. Eisenhower attended church here at First Presbyterian Church during several of his hunting and golfing trips to Thomasville. Favoring our world famous quail hunting, Eisenhower made five trips to Thomasville during his Presidency and squeezed in rounds of golf at Glen Arven Country Club, one of the oldest golf courses in the nation.
